As a former teacher, education today is focused on interaction – not knowledge. I am so glad I’m not a student now. It’s a waste of time. You need to interact with those in your job, true, but if you are ignorant but go along with the group, it’s pointless. Now schools focus on cooperation time doing pointless things, not obtaining knowledge, but practicing cooperation. It’s hell. Introverts like myself waste away, may need quiet which is actively discourage today, and may get horrible grades in groups because they are too afraid to help so are being sacrificed for networking and groupthink. The humans in ‘The Time Machine’ could cooperate and were happy, but were ignorant and got eaten by Morlocks. Introverts need to just educate yourself on your own because education is a hellish experiment in networking ignorance. Knowledge should be rewarded – not placid nice cooperation and who you know.

I’d love suggestions for how to make it easier for the introverted TEACHER in the class room. By God they are noisy! Even when they are well behaved and everything is running well they are noisy. I think I need a new career.

Or maybe instead of recess, for High school students have a section of the cafeteria where it will be quieter. That way the more introverted can eat their lunch in peace and have a break from the nonstop social interaction.
