This article puts into words what I could not say myself but wanted to. I am a single mom. When my daughter was small I remember feeling guilty for relishing in the complete quiet after she went to bed. I would just lie in the dark in silence, thinking I would get up in a few minutes and have some me-time, but I would always just fall asleep instead. I do get more time to myself now that things are more regular with her father, but when she is away it isn’t long before I feel lost and guilty for not being with her. I think I will always struggle with that. Thank you for reminding me I’m not the only one who feels like this.
