My wife knew I could take a huge wedding… we have a ton of friends and family… I just can’t take (or want) that much attention. We didn’t tell ANYone…fly to Greece and got married on the beach at sunset!!

The idea of a big, expensive wedding stresses the crap out of me. On top of that, my family is would nitpick everything I do, force made-up traditions on me, and force me to have their perfect dream wedding without offering a penny or their own time to help. Honestly, I would rather elope.

I talked to my mom about this. We came to a compromise that I should at least buy her a ticket to my eloped wedding.
