14 Stunning Illustrations That Perfectly Capture the Introvert’s Love of Books

Debbie Tung is obsessed. With books, that is.
“I’ve always loved reading. It’s something I enjoyed doing when I was a kid, as I was really shy and introverted. My family and friends used to joke about my reading habits being an obsession and how I treat my books like they’re my best friends,” she told me.
Even from a young age, she loved the… smell of books. That sometimes musty, new-page, always filled-with-adventure scent.
These experiences became the inspiration for her illustrated new release, appropriately titled, Book Love.
You don’t have to be an introvert to fall in love with Debbie’s stunning artwork. But there’s something oh-so-introverted about curling up on a Friday night with a good book — alone — that many introverts will relate to on a spiritual level.
Like many of us “quiet ones,” Debbie reads whenever she can. She always has a good book on hand:
“For me, reading is an activity where I can truly immerse myself in a different world, and I can do it on my own, whenever and wherever I want. Reading opens up my mind to more possibilities. I always feel better after reading a few pages every day.”
