Talk about a weird dynamic that no one understands.
I’ve been called an ice queen more than once. I do have feelings, but they are deep in there. Deeeep in there.

A whole lot of condemnation for not being as expressively emotional about things as my extroverted family demand. I’ve been called all kinds of cruel names over the years – cold, mean, uncaring.

My wife is an EFSJ and your example of Thinking Husband / Feeling Wife is an almost everyday story for us. We balance each other out in life, and love each other strongly, but so often I miss the point pretty severely and am accused of “just not getting it”. I am always told to “stop trying to fix things” when of course I’m thinking I’m being super helpful… =(

It’s easy for us Thinkers to dismiss Feelers as drama queens, neurotic and even manic. And I can speak from experience how Feelers accuse Thinkers of being cold, uncaring, aloof, self-centered, Stoic (that used to be an insult), detached — or even worse, depressed and even autistic. I’m sure that if many Thinkers had a penny for every time someone “diagnosed” them with Aspberger’s, they would have many pennies. Forums like this are invaluable for helping Thinkers and Feelers to understand one another — as well as themselves — better.
