LOL, this is exactly the kind of thing I would do, hoping in the back of my mind that my crush would stumble upon it and it would suddenly make it “click” in their mind. I relate to so much of this article.

I read the “21 Signs that you’re an INFL” too, and related to most of the signs too. I think that’s partly due to how it’s written, many of them are kind of vague and could apply to most introverts. I also read the “8 Contradictions You Might Experience If You’re an INFJ” article and I strongly related to every one of those, lol. But now that I actually took a personality test and have been reading about ISTJ, I’d have to say that ISTJ sounds much more like me than INFJ. I think it make sense that there are going to be people that fall in-between personality types enough that they could score different ones on different tests. I think of it as a spectrum, and the personality types are just starting points; everybody is going to combine elements of the different types in their own way.

Thanks for reading! I’d be interested to see how your character shapes up.

It’s nice to see an example of the emotional side of sensor-thinkers, because I’m an ISTP and I can relate at least a little bit. Mostly to determining if someone matches your longterm values/lifestyle, and deciding to fall in love. On the other hand I haven’t gotten past, well, even meeting someone vaguely correct. But I’m sure I would be very thinky about it all first. xD

There is certainly a distinct ISTJ vibe to the reasoning behind the major points, even if my type overlaps on occasion.

It’s also fun because I’m thinking about writing a story with an ISTJ character, so this is highly relevant.

I took the test twice and cane up with INTP and INTJ. After reading your “20/23 signs of a INFJ” or the like, I figured the test result might be wrong and this – INFJ – suited me much better.
But now .. as I read this above.. I could also say I am ISTJ. And now it’s enough!? Is there something wrong with the tests? Maybe not detailed enough? Maybe depending on the mood or whether I’m currently in love? I sense I am INFJ, but I do all the above when I have a crush on someone … can someone please explain??

/totally bewildered.

Hi! I actually had a couple of friends who said the same thing. One just tested as an IXFJ. (She scored ‘N’ on one test and ‘S’ on another).

I think that a lot of Introverted-Judging types might relate to this, because we like to process things and come to conclusions about them.

I don’t pretend to have mastered all of the functions by any means, but I could see how the same behaviors would be exhibited by those who have strong Sensing/Thinking preferences as well because those types tend to value having details and ration to support their conclusions.

I myself am an INTJ, but I still do many of the things you describe. Do you think this is simply because INTJ and INSJ are relatively similar types, or do these apply to introverts in a more general sense?
