You can tune out the world and listen to music, podcasts, or just the sound from a “white noise” or ambient sound app like Noisli. If you really want people to leave you alone, get the biggest set of headphones you can find (solitude signaling, I guess you’d call it). If you happen to be in very loud environments a lot, consider investing in some noise-canceling headphones or earbuds. The one downside is that you can lose your sense of situational awareness, becoming oblivious to someone who might have a legitimate reason to talk to you (such as saying, “Get out! The building’s on fire!”).
